Norway – Special-purpose road passenger-transport services – Patient transport with health express with daily traffic on a scheduled route to Helse Fonna HF.

The objective of the procurement is to secure a contract for patient journeys on roads. Patient journeys on the way are a facilitated transport where the patient, in accordance with the current legislation, has the right to covering expenses for travel to and from treatment. Helse Fonna HF maintains a route for patient journeys with the use of a specially fitted-out bus (Health Express) as a transport service for patients. The health express shall be on schedule between Haugesund Hospital - Haukeland University Hospital – Haugesund Hospital. In addition to regular seating, the health express also includes special chairs and stretcher places. The bus shall be purpose-built for patient journeys and it shall have high comfort with room for sitting patients, as well as room for 3 lying patients. The health express shall go into traffic daily from Monday to Friday all business days. The health express includes transport of sitting and lying patients. The health bus shall have expanded service offers. The estimated annual value of the procurement is NOK 5,500,000 excluding VAT. The stated consumption/extent is an estimate for information to the tenderer and is not binding for the future contract volume. The volume is subject to adjusting during the contract period, based on the contracting authority ́s needs.
