The Contract involves the delivery contract of Operational Catering Systems and an Agreement for maintenance for a period of 15 years. The Operational Catering (OPCAT) System will be a transportable kitchen system, usable for the preparation and packing of food and drinks for military operations. One system has the capability to provide catering for 250 persons, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On daily basis four meals must be served: breakfast, lunch, dinner and night meal. The System must be able to regenerate packed, frozen pre-cooked meals as a primary function. Additionally, depending on operational circumstances, it must also be possible to prepare small fresh food servings. At all times hot and/or cold beverages must be prepared and served with the meals. The OPCAT System must be one containerised unit, which must operate self-sufficiently for at least 72 hours. It includes, but is not limited to, a power supply system, fuel/water/food storage, food preparation equipment, climate control, water system and storage capacity.
