Malta – Trench-digging work – WSC/T/060/2024 - DISTRIBUTION FOR NEW WATER FROM SANT’ ANTNIN TO; BIDNI, SAN ANARD, XGHAJRA, AND TO TA’ BARKAT THROUGH HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING, IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY MANNER TO THE WSC

The subject of this tender is to drill and pull/push through trenchless methods a system of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes from Sant Antnin Treatment Plant in Marsascala, to Bidni Reservoir (Marsascala), San Anard Reservoir (Xghajra), Ta’Barkat Sewage Treatment Plant (Xghajra) and Xghajra Reservoir (Xghajra). The pipe internal diameter shall be 350 mm. The length of pipe to be carried out through horizontal directional drilling (HDD) shall be around 2750m. This tender also includes the laying of ductile iron (DI) pipes to connect part of the newly installed HDPE networks to Ta’Barkat Sewage Treatment Plant and the length of pipe to be carried out through normal trenching shall be around 190m.
