The Law on certain conditions regarding the political parties (the Party Act) came into force in 01.01.2006. The Party Act Committee is central to the system for control that the political parties comply with their obligations under the party law. In order to strengthen independent control over the financing of the registered political parties, the professional and politically neutral control body the PRU was created through a legislative amendment in 2013. Strengthened. Since its first opening in October 2014, the PRU has passed by two members. The members of the PRU will be appointed by the Partilovnemnda. The Committee shall now appoint two new members who must be registered or chartered auditors approved in accordance with the Auditor Act chapter 3. The contract period is four years from when the contract is signed. The contract period runs from the signing of the contract to 18 September 2030. The members will be appointed for the PRU from 19 September 2026 to 19 September 2030. The duration is meant to open for the tenderer to start preparatory work up until the contract is signed. The estimated contract value for both auditors is NOK 2.4 million excluding VAT. The expected consumption is NOK 2,000,000,000 excluding VAT. The estimate is not binding for the contracting authority and it will depend on the extent of the routine checks and the number of special assignments as well as guidance connected to them. The final delivery deadline for the contract is 18 September 2030.
