The Armed Forces' dog school wants to acquire two young dogs to be trained as patrol dogs (with tracking / protection). Tests are scheduled to week 6-7/2024. Delivery in February 2025. It is desirable that the dog is delivered to Hauersetervegen 203, 2055 Nordkisa. Patrol dogs are trained in searching for people in different environments and searching for objects that smell like humans. Furthermore, patrol dogs are approved as a means of force and can be used in apprehending people in different types of environments. Within the patrol dog category, there are some dogs with additional expertise in the form of drug searches, gun searches, avalanche (winter training), USAR and criminal searches. Patrol dogs must be socially stable, have good desire to investigate., hunt and exchange and be environmentally strong. The breeds used today are mainly based on German Shepherd and Malinois, as well as mixtures of these. The customer will require final internal approval and confirmation of funding before the contract is entered into.
