Services under this Lot are associated with the day to day management of the NBII contract and other key DCO initiatives including general technical advisory services, network and project cost modelling, mapping assessment, benchmarking and regulatory, quality assurance, environmental, design and build milestone approval and technical services to support the copper switch-off project and gigabit infrastructure act. Details of the services required are provided in Appendix 1B of the procurement document.
The tenderer will be required to provide a sufficient number of suitably qualified/experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the activities of the DCO. The services, qualifications and experience requirements are described in Appendix 1B of the procurement document and will be needed for the duration of this contract to assist in the management of the NBII contract and other related work.
The scope of services for the Galway-Mayo ducting project includes specialist technical advice on wholesale duct, dark fibre and managed capacity business in addition to network management and maintenance requirements, health and safety matters, interconnection requirements, marketing proposals to stimulate the use of infrastructure. Details of the services required are provided in Appendix 1B of the procurement document.
The provision of advisory services associated with; o delivering the national gigabit policy based on the Digital Connectivity Strategy. The scope will include engagement with a range of public and private bodies and the development and monitoring of an implementation plan to deliver the targets in the Digital Connectivity Strategy; o Universal Service Obligations, to support public policy thinking and eventual decisions around public policy tools, the meaning of adequate broadband and how affordability will be assessed and where necessary addressed. The process will involve significant engagement with the communications regulator, ComReg, and many other stakeholders, including through public consultation; o strategy and economic advisory services to support the Gigabit Infrastructure Act and copper switch-off.
