Norway – Water-tender vehicles – Fire engine for Kåfjord Fire and Rescue

Kåfjord Fire and Rescue intends to procure a new fire engine as one of our vehicles has been taken out of service due to serious errors. The procurement then comprises 1 fire engine (designed for 5 persons with equipment) which i.a. shall include the addition, water tank and extinguishing system. The tender shall also include an option for servicing of vehicles, chassis, additions and assembled equipment as separate items. Kåfjord Fire and Rescue would like a Pri-1 price for a demo driven or easier to use vehicle, and this is justified by the need for an imminent delivery of a fire engine. We would therefore like to set up a two part needs mapping where we as priority 1 want price on the demo driven (more easily used) car not older than the 2020 mod. As priority 2 we would like price for a new fire engine. The award criteria are the same for new or used/demo vehicles in accordance with. Price (50%) and the Project and Service Organisation, environmental profile, lifetime costs and service costs (30%). When it is looking forward to the delivery time, this is weighted 30% on the new car and split up compared to used/demo car in annual model (10%), km. stand and service history (10%) and delivery time (10%). Examples: We receive four tenders, two for use and two on new cars. Tenders for the new cars will then be rejected and the competition will then be between the two used if they then fulfil the requirements otherwise. Three tenders will be submitted, and all three are new cars. These will then be evaluated and the award will then be made in accordance with the criteria. The vehicle, which shall be built and rigged for Norwegian or northern Norwegian conditions, shall be delivered registered with emergency approval and ready for response at Kåfjord fire and rescue. Kåfjord municipality reserves political and other certifications as well as financing the project before the contract can be signed. It will not be an object for supplements if the turnkey contractor has overlooked, omitted, or failed to examine anything before the tender offer is given.
