Sweden – Research and development services and related consultancy services – With regard to Project writing and project support for EU funded project within Eu-rope’s Rail programme

The object of the assignment and procurement is the Europe’s Rail project MOTIONAL, wave 2. Wave 1 is currently ongoing and is not part of this procurement. Mobility management multImodal environment and digital enablers, in short MOTIONAL, is an EU funded project, consisting of a Consortium with 28 partners. Today, rail traffic is managed on national or regional level, supported by legacy systems with a poor level of digitalisation and weak integration with systems of other actors participating in the overall traffic planning and management process. Through the development of func-tional requirements, associated specifications and operational or technological solutions and by taking advantage of the potential of digitalisation, MOTIONAL project aims at contrib-uting towards a more connected multimodal transport system for passengers and freight. The projects are managed by a Coordinator (COO), which in MOTIONAL wave 2 is the Swe-dish Transport Agency, hereafter Trafikverket. The consortium consists of some 25 partners across Europe.
