Donegal County Council invites tender quotations from competent G1 Conservation Architects for the provision of Conservation Architect Led Full Integrated Design Team and PSDP Services for Conservation Works to former Prior School, Lifford, Co. Donegal. The project is designed to secure and remediate the decline of the building fabric to the former Prior School, which is currently unoccupied. The former Prior endowment school is a high-quality structure designated as being of regional importance. The building, last used as the mess hall for the Lifford army barracks, formed the architectural and social focal point of the military base. Today the base has been opened and buildings re-purposed as offices for Donegal County Council and OPW. An historic landmark, the former school is the last disused structure at the site.
