The Norwegian Defence and The Norwegian Defence Material Agency currently uses SAP software that is released from support in 2027. In order to upgrade this software, new licences must be procured and the existing databases (from Orakel to SAP HANA) must be replaced. In order to upgrade the software portfolio, new licences must be procured with contract support. The maintenance shall not only cover the maintenance of the new licences. The current portfolio of licences shall also be maintained during the upgrade period. In order to carry out the upgrade, there will be a need for a reference system in the form of a cloud based sandpit.
