Promoting Geothermal Energy for Heating and Cooling in China: Based on the request of the Chinese government to learn more about the policies, regulations and instruments in place in Switzerland for the exploration, use and management of geothermal energy, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is planning to launch a project in the field of geothermal energy for heating and cooling in China. The project is aiming to enhance the sustainable planning and management of geothermal energy exploitation and utilization and so unlock the full potential of geothermal energy for heating and cooling in China. A particular focus of the project is on knowledge exchange and policy dialogue with the authorities in Switzerland.
