Norway – Ship bridge simulators – Upgrading/expansion of existing navigation simulators

Rogaland County has, c/o the Vocational College Rogaland, been awarded funding for upgrading our Kongsberg navigation simulators. The upgrade concerns two full scale bridges and one instructor station from the same manufacturer as the existing equipment. In addition there will be maintenance services in the procurement. The reason we cannot use other manufacturers is that the existing equipment shall be connected to the full-scale bridges, which only equipment from the same supplier is compatible with. The competition is therefore considered impossible for technical reasons, c.f. The Public Procurement Regulations § 13-4 letter b, and by upgrading existing equipment and additional deliveries to the current equipment and system, c.f. the Public Procurement Regulations § 13-4 letter c.
