Belgium – Mass spectrometer – Supply and installation of a gas chromatograph hyphenated to a consecutive quadrupole high-resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometer, instrument control and data analysis software

A gas chromatograph hyphenated to consecutive quadrupole and high-resolution time-of-flight mass analysers (GC-HRQTOF) including instrument control and data handling station shall be supplied for projects on tobacco and food authenticity. The measurements will be based on electron ionisation (EI) in order to make the gained mass spectral data compatible with commercial mass spectral libraries, and to maintain compatibility of analytical data with models established in the area of tobacco forensics. The gas chromatograph shall be equipped with a split/splitless inlet. Up-to-date instrument control and data analysis software, allowing both qualitative and quantitative workflows, the latest version of the NIST mass spectral library, as well as software for metabolomics analysis, compatible with the instrument and data analysis software, shall be supplied with the instrument. Training shall be provided on the operation, maintenance and qualification of the instrument.

A thermal desorption system, a programmable temperature vaporizer inlet, which is compatible with the thermal desorption system, a XYZ-robot, which is capable of both injecting liquid samples into the gas chromatograph and introducing samples into the thermal desorption system shall be supplied. Cooling systems shall be offered with the instruments. The thermal desorption system shall be supplied together with suitable instrument control software, which integrates also the programmable temperature vaporizer and the XYZ-robot. Training shall be provided on the operation, maintenance and qualification of the instrument.
