Ireland – Geotechnical engineering services – EST SOUTH: GEOTHERMAL SPECIALIST TO INCLUDE FEASIBILITY DESIGN AND TENDER FOR GEOTHERMAL SURVEYS
🇮🇪Health Service Executive (HSE)·Ireland
Full Description
The Health Service Executive (HSE) have recently developed an Infrastructure Decarbonisation Plan and are now in the early design stages of implementing Deep Energy Efficiency upgrade and Decarbonisation measures on a number of HSE campus sites. As part of these projects the HSE wish to explore Geothermal potential of several sites and where feasible we will consider integrating Geothermal solutions as part of the overall energy efficiency measures. Accordingly, we are seeking tender submissions from qualified specialists to provide this Service as described below on a number of sites which will include the following. The tender price will be based on an initial tranche of sites: 1) Cork University Hospital (CUH), Eircode: T12 DC4A 2) St Stephen’s Hospital, Glanmire, Eircode: T45 VK40 3) St Raphael’s Centre, Youghal, Eircode: P36 C596 4) University Hospital Kerry (UHK), Rathass, Tralee, Eircode: V92 NX94 5) St Finbarr’s Hospital, Douglas Road, Cork, Eircode: T12 XH60 The specialist is expected to provide rates for these sites in HSE Estates South that they will also stand over for work in other parts of the country. Other sites currently under consideration are located in Wexford, Cavan and Galway The initial tranche of sites is as follows: 1) Cork University Hospital (CUH) CUH will require a subsequent phase in the future for Deep Retrofit / Decarbonisation studies / capital projects and a geothermal solution may suit this large acute site. The Energy Officer will coordinate the proposed geothermal development with Trauma / Critical Care / Surgery Block development or any future plans to develop i.e. multi-storey carparks etc. Several potential locations for possible geothermal at CUH are shown in Appendix A. 2) St Stephen’s Hospital St Stephen’s Hospital is comprised of four buildings co-located within the 117 acre grounds. Appendix B illustrates a site map where there is land available within the site boundary for potential geothermal development. 3) St Raphael’s Centre St. Raphael’s Centre is situated in Youghal, Co. Cork. Appendix C indicates the extent of land to the West of the campus. 4) University Hospital Kerry (UHK) University Hospital Kerry (UHK) is a large Acute Hospital situated in Tralee, Co. Kerry. UHK provides a comprehensive acute healthcare service to the population of Kerry and surrounding catchment areas totalling circa 180,000 people. 5) St Finbarr’s Hospital St. Finbarr’s Hospital on Douglas Road, Cork, comprises of a multi-unit facility to the South of the City Centre. It also has a residential hospital facility on site which caters for older persons who require a high level of nursing and medical care.
