Germany – Urban environmental development planning – 81310033-Support to Integrated Urban Development in Namibia

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) supports the improve the pre-conditions for the transformation of informal settlements into liveable neighbourhoods through the project Inclusive and Sustainable Urban Development II (ISUD II) implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). ISUD II runs from 01/01/2024 to 30/06/2026. Supported by the GIZ project working on inclusive and sustainable urban development in Namibia, the envisaged mission is as follows: The objectives of the assignment are as follows: 1) Support the development of an integrated spatial framework in Namibia; 2) Support the development of an Urban Land Policy; 3) Support the implementation of the National Housing Policy; 4) Support the implementation of sustainable urban mobility; 5) Support the integrated neighborhood planning in Ndama, Rundu and 6) implement selected small scale measures and neighborhood initiatives in the Ndama settlement. The assignment will be carried out between December2024/January 2025 and June 2026
