Full Description
Disability Services at the University of Limerick (UL) is inviting tenders from occupational therapy (OT) providers for the provision of OT services to UL students registered with disability support services on a contract for services basis. The intention is for UL to appoint a sole OT provider to supply the services required and the appointed provider will then be required to subcontract suitably qualified subcontractors to deliver any aspect of the services which it cannot itself deliver directly. Disability Services at the University of Limerick provides a range of educational, personal and social supports to students registered with its service and is now seeking to further tailor these supports for specific cohorts of students registered with the service. The service is keen to further embed strategies and resources within the existing support structure to enhance the learning experience for students who may have specific difficulty in a third-level learning environment. The service will embed an OT-based service within the existing support framework. Oversight of all services provided to students by UL Disability Services rests with the Manager of Disability Support Services. Service provision will be required to further develop resources and strengthen the capacity of the Disability Services to support the increasing number of students registering with the service. Disability Services will identify the students needing support and will work closely with the OT and the students to deliver the OT service within the Disability services support framework. The service will be delivered on campus and/or remotely as necessary
