Full Description
The school fruit scheme is approved in the Government Budget and anchored in the regulations of 1 April 2004 no. 623 on grants for price write-offs of fruit and vegetables in primary and secondary schools (Annex 1). The aim of the scheme is to stimulate increased consumption of fruit and vegetables among pupils in primary and secondary schools. School fruit is also a tool for fulfilling parts of the authorities' National professional guidelines for food and meals in schools, and should contribute to good eating habits, well-being in school life and better health among children and adolescents. In this competition the School Fruit Scheme is divided into the "Subscription Scheme with Parent Payment" ("The Subscription Scheme") and the "Municipal Scheme", cf. below. Tenderers shall deliver ready-to-eat, first class fruit and vegetables for primary and secondary schools that shall receive School Fruit. Tenderers must be able to deliver fruit/vegetables within category 1 to the Subscription scheme with parent payment and both categories 1 and 2 for the Municipal Scheme. In addition fruit/vegetables can be delivered within category 3 in the municipal scheme. The framework agreements are for the country 15 counties where each county is divided into two delivery areas, one primary and one secondary area. From 01.01.2024 Viken, Troms and Finnmark and Vestfold and Telemark will be dissolved to new counties. It is the new counties that one apply for as these will apply in the contract period.
