Netherlands – Financial consultancy, financial transaction processing and clearing-house services – BZK EA Provision of carbon credits to offset airplane travel by the Netherlands central government

Each year civil servants of the central government emit 85.000-90.000 tons CO2-eq by traveling with airplane. We need a provider of high impact and high integrity carbon credits to offset part of these emissions, and who is able to provide us with high quality reporting. The deliverable that we need from you is the provision of carbon credits from a portfolio of climate projects, and your advice (annually) on the optimal composition of the portfolio. We expect to offset 61.000 tons CO2 per year, though you cannot derive any rights from this estimate. Together with you we want to pursue the following goals: 1. Contribute to the climate policy of the Netherlands as laid out in the Global Climate Strategy 2. Contribute to the provision of carbon credits that have the highest possible integrity/reliability 3. Contribute to launching and scaling up innovative climate projects 4. Contribute to the SDGs by achieving co-benefits in climate projects
