Ireland – Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) services other than for construction – Professional Services for SEA AA and RFRA and other technical assistance and advice on RRES and RLCA for the review and preparation of a New Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy

The Northern and Western Regional Authority (NWRA) invites tenders for the appointment of suitably qualified and experienced consultants to undertake the following assessments required as part of the preparation of the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy for the period: (1) Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). (2) Screening for Appropriate Assessment (AA) and preparation of a Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment if required. (3) Regional Flood Risk Appraisal (4) the provision of appropriate technical assistance, validation and advice concerning the development of the Regional Renewable Energy Strategy and Landscape Character Assessment. The appointed consultant(s) will be required to work with the planning team of the Northern and Western Regional Assembly throughout the review period to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements, ensure the environmental considerations are integrated into the new Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES) and assist in the associated consultation and decision-making process as required.
