This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann to establish a multi-party Qualification System with three lots for large Civil Engineering Works associated with the upgrading of the railway infrastructure or Rosslare Europort and other related works that Iarnród Éireann may undertake directly or on behalf of Bus Eireann, Dublin Bus or CIE on their properties. Iarnród Éireann, also known as Irish Rail, operates Ireland's national railway network. Iarnród Éireann was founded in 1987, as a subsidiary of Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ). Iarnród Éireann operates all internal InterCity, Commuter, DART, and freight train services in the Republic of Ireland, as well as the Enterprise service between Dublin and Belfast, in collaboration with Northern Ireland Railways. In addition to its railway services, Iarnród Éireann also oversees the operation of Rosslare Europort, which serves as a significant ferry port connecting Ireland with destinations in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. The extent and details of these works will vary from location to location. All project works shall be tendered to those companies, depending on the selected lot, approved for inclusion on this Qualification System under the chosen lot. Companies may apply for one or multiple lots and can apply for inclusion at any stage of the Qualification System’s duration. An individual PQQ application must be submitted for each lot CLOSING DATE FOR RETURN OF INITIAL COMPLETED QUESTIONNAIRE: 12 noon on 22.05.2024 but new applicants may apply for inclusion at any stage during the lifetime of this QS.
