Norway – Construction work – Expansion of Sørbø School to B28 School

Competition for the expansion of Sørbø School. The contract work mainly includes detailed engineering design services, demolition, alterations, new buildings, delivery and assembly of permanent fixtures, development of the outdoor area and trial operation of technical installations. Sørbø school shall be expanded from a primary school with 21 classes (B21) to a primary school with 28 classes (B28) divided in seven years. Each classroom is designed for 28 pupils, which will have a total of 784 pupils in the school. There are currently three wings at Sørbø school, connected by an administration wing across. The school was first built in 2003 as a B7 school and later expanded in 2014 to B21 school. The project shall be carried out as a builder developed turnkey contract in accordance with NS 8407, with a draft/preliminary project carried out by ARK, RIB, RIV, RIE, RIEaut, RIBr, RIAku, RIEn, RIM and LARK, as well as technical plans from RIVA. The start of the project is planned for August 2024. The contractor shall have the capacity to complete the contract object at the latest by 4 May 2026 (final deadline).
