The Public Appointments Service (PAS) wishes to appoint a company to put in place a comprehensive assessment process for candidates at senior levels. Individualised assessment profiles will be provided primarily for candidates at Secretary General or equivalent level and for certain specialist roles at Assistant Secretary or equivalent level across the public sector. The assessments conducted will provide objective evidence concerning the skills and capabilities of individuals to perform effectively in a particular role. The Public Appointments Service (PAS) is the independent centralised recruitment, assessment and selection body for the Civil Service, Health Service, Local Authorities, the Garda Síochána, Prison Service and other public sector bodies. The work of PAS ranges from traditional large volume recruitment and selection competitions, administrative, technical and professional positions to tailored selection processes for senior professional and management positions. In addition, PAS plays an importance role in the implementation of Government policy on appointments to State Boards.
