United States – Foreign affairs and other services – Supporting the alliance for democracy development, in fostering independent and pluralistic media, access to information, the fight against disinformation in Panama, Costa Rica, Dominican Rep, Ecuador

The objective of the contract is to contribute to strengthen democratic foundations of Alliance for development in democracy (ADD) target countries by fostering independent and pluralistic media, access to information and the fight against disinformation. This will be pursued primarily by setting on one hand improved legal protection frameworks and mechanisms for journalists, especially women, and independent media; and on the other strengthened capacities of governmental bodies, civil society organisations and media actors to detect and respond to disinformation campaigns.
