The insurance shall cover all the guaranteed benefits referred to in section 2 of Annex 1, in accordance with the applicable statutory and regulatory provisions referred to in section 3, which are in force on the starting date of the tenth legislature, 16 July 2024. Insured persons • The insurance shall apply to Members of the European Parliament included on the list published on the European Parliament’s official website. • The insurance shall cover Members from the start of their parliamentary term of office unless they expressly waive, in writing, their right to insurance cover. Where applicable, their right to insurance cover shall lapse on the last day of the month in which notification of that waiver was given. • The accident insurance shall cover Members in performance of their duties and in private life. • Under the terms of the contract, Members shall continue to be covered after their term of office ends until their return journey to the Member State in which they were elected or, at the latest, until the end of the month in which their term of office ended (for any claim before and during their return journey).

Insured persons: • The insurance shall apply to Members of the European Parliament included on the list published on the European Parliament’s official website. • The insurance shall cover Members from the start of their parliamentary term of office unless they expressly waive, in writing, their right to insurance cover. Where applicable, their right to insurance cover shall lapse on the last day of the month in which notification of that waiver was given. • Members shall be covered for loss or theft when travelling as part of a travel financed by the European Parliament or a political group. Under the terms of the contract, Members shall continue to be covered after their term of office ends until their return journey to the Member State in which they were elected or, at the latest, until the end of the month in which their term of office ended (for any claim before and during their return journey).
