Full Description
The Norwegian Defence needs to procure up to 23 puppies in 2025. The puppies are intended for education as patrol dogs in the Norwegian Armed Forces. Puppies are primarily wanted delivered in the period April-June or September-October, but more importantly a host group (6 puppies) is to be filled at each time we buy puppies. Tenderers are not required to fill the needs of the entire host group, the need will normally be covered by several contracts. Patrol dogs have education in search of people in different environments and search for objects it smells of people of. Furthermore, the patrol dogs are approved as a means of power and can be used in the apprehension of persons in different types of environments. There are some dogs with additional competence in the form of drug searches, weapons searches, lavine searches (winter education), USAR and criminal searches within the patrol dog category. The patrol dogs shall be socially stable, have good prey and must be environmentally strong. The current breeds are mainly based on Schæfer and Malinois, as well as blends of them. The final approval and sufficient financing are subject to signing of the contract before the contract is signed.
