The Armed Forces need to procure four search dogs. For this acquisition, dogs with high energy and a high search rate are needed. The dogs must be robust with concentrated, accurate and intensive search behaviour, with the ability to work over time. The dog(s) must be ready for aptitude test/first selection in week 15/16 2024. And be available for selection period from week 17 to week 25 2024. Search dogs are trained to respond and mark different types of smell images in different environments. Within the search dog category, dogs are trained to search for, but not limited to, drugs, flammable liquids, explosives, blood, semen, currency, weapons, buried corpses and corpses. The need in this procurement will mainly focus on the search for explosives. The dogs must be able to work in different types of environments such as indoors, outdoors, height, dark, moving surfaces and slippery surfaces. The search dog must withstand the mental stresses this can cause. The breed used in similar search services today is mainly based on Malinois or Malinois mixtures. The final approval and sufficient financing are subject to signing of the contract before the contract is signed.
