The procurement Cooperation municipalities Aukra, Hustadvika, Kristiansund, Molde, Rauma and Vestnes face major and common challenges in the health and care sector. Fragmented services, a lack of labour, a pressed economy and systems developed for yesterday's needs mean that the current service model is not sustainable for the future. Demographical changes with more elderly and fewer working people reinforce the pressure, and the expectations of inhabitants and politicians contrast with the municipalities' actual delivery ability. There is a need for a clear change of pace in organisation, interaction and use of technology in order to meet the future needs.
