How to Use WULFRN

A step-by-step guide to finding defense procurement opportunities across 30+ NATO nations.

1

Search tenders

Use the search bar on the home page or at the top of the search results page. Type any keyword — equipment name, technology, NATO agency, or country — and press Enter.

Results are ranked by relevance using full-text search across tender titles, buyer names, descriptions, AI summaries, and capability tags. Results show the most recently published tenders first.

2

Filter results

Use the filter sidebar (desktop) or the Filters button (mobile) to narrow results by:

  • Country — select one or more NATO nations
  • Defense domain — Naval, Air, Land, Cyber, C4ISR, and 9 more categories
  • Contract status — Open, Closed, Awarded, or Cancelled
  • Estimated value — set a minimum and/or maximum in EUR
  • SME suitable — toggle to show only contracts flagged as appropriate for small and medium enterprises

Filters update the URL, so you can bookmark or share any filtered view.

3

Read tender details

Click any tender to see its full detail page. Every tender includes an AI-generated plain-English summary, defense domain classification, capability tags, buyer details, key dates, and a link to the original source portal.

Spotted an error? Use the "Report an error" button at the bottom of any tender page to let us know.

4

Switch to map view

On the search results page, click the Map toggle in the top-right corner. Tender locations are plotted by buyer country, color-coded by defense domain, and clustered at lower zoom levels. Click a pin to see the tender summary.

5

Save searches

Create a free account, then click "Save search" on any search results page. Give it a name and choose whether to include it in your weekly email digest. Saved searches appear on your dashboard.

6

Create a company profile

Go to your dashboard and click "Set up profile." Add your company name, country, defense capabilities, certifications (NATO AQAP, ISO, Cyber Essentials, etc.), and company size. Your profile is publicly visible and helps other users understand your capabilities.

7

Get weekly digest emails

When you save a search with "Weekly digest" enabled, you will receive a personalized email every Sunday with new tenders matching your saved searches from the past 7 days. The email also includes trending defense domains for the week.

Manage your digest preferences from the dashboard — toggle weekly notifications on or off for each saved search.

Requires a free account with at least one saved search.

8

Browse awards and trends

Visit the Awards page to see recently awarded contracts — who won, the contract value, and which domain. The Trends page shows spending charts by country and domain over time, based on our materialized analytics views.
